Back Bay Scientific, Boston, MA, has introduced SeroTrim™, a 12-week weight loss plan that utilizes pre-meal, carbohydrate-rich, appetite control beverages to supplement a low-fat portion-controlled eating plan de­signed to help achieve steady weight loss without physical and psychological hunger, mental alertness and better control over daily emotional fluctuations. Each appetite control beverage, taken twice each day an hour before lunch and an hour before dinner or at about 4:00 PM, is meant to help boost brain serotonin production, and thereby increase satiety or the feeling of fullness. Each package contains a two-week supply and the product is available in Orange Crème flavor.
